Tell me more about this team work based away day!Have you always wanted to feel and experience what it would be like to complete a selection process for the military? Well here is your chance to prove yourself, your team and your boss that you are worthy! This highly motivating and very much hands on team building event is designed to develop individuals personalities and skills in a demanding and focused but also fun environment. The scene is set as soon as your guests arrive at camp when they are confronted by the Regimental Sergeant Major who welcomes them to camp with a shall we say motivating speech! Your guests will now realise that they are no longer civilians but highly motivated individuals intent on succeeding the tasks ahead and completing the selection process. Through sharing the knowledge they are about to learn and working closely within their teams individuals will learn what team work is really all about!
SkillsIt is essential that all recruits complete their military training in order to ‘pass out’ (in other words successful teams will be victorious! Not faint!) All of the following activities can be included in your selection process!
Sharp ShootersIts no good being in the army if you cant hit a barn door at 10 yards with a rifle! Using high powered .22 air rifles teams will compete in a marksman shoot out where they will be judged on their ability to blend in with their surroundings whilst also hitting an enemy target! Command TasksObstacles in a civilian life can cause us to be confronted with what we sometimes think are impossible circumstances. This series of tasks will teach the recruits to use their personal skills and by using lateral thinking and good team work these obstacles will soon be easily overcome. The Mine FieldA soldiers biggest nightmare! One false move and bang! Patience and communication are the key to this skill! Survival SkillsIn order to protect man from the elements, shelter is necessary whether it be temporary or permanent. Our instructors will demonstrate how to construct different types of natural shelters from a basic ‘lean to’ to a much larger shelter able to house a group. Teams will only have a short time to complete this exercise, sharing knowledge between themselves will provide great results in this educational and inspiring skill. The Beach AssaultThis is what action is all about! Your Platoon will be split into 2 sections (teams) on water and 2 sections on land. The water based sections will man 2 Zapcat race prepared boats whilst the land based teams will defend their base and hopefully escape in their Haglander (20 man tracked vehicle). Using top of the range paintball guns recruits will carry out a high speed beach landing followed by a full frontal assault on the land sections! Speed – aggression and planning will ensure recruits complete this adrenalin packed exercise! Mortar PlatoonsMortar platoons carry out a very important role in the battle field providing in-direct fire for ground troops as they assault the enemy. Recruits will now learn the skills to provide their colleagues with covering fire as they are put through a live firing exercise which involves firing missiles onto a designated target. Communicators at the other end of the firing range must keep in contact with the mortars via radio in order for them to adjust their aim and become accurate to 1 meter of their target zone! A Bridge Too Far!For this team task recruits are set the challenge of constructing a floating bridge across the lake in order to collect valuable supplies. Using only a limited amount of equipment and a short space of time teams must pull together work fast and figure out how to over come this slippery and challenging problem. Oh and by the way they may find them selves under attack from enemy forces whilst building their bridge!! Land AssaultUsing state of the art replica sub machine guns similar to the SAS fitted with a lazer system, teams will engage in a full on battle of grit and determination. Once again your Platoon will be split into 4 separate sections and recruits within their teams will have to navigate through a ‘CQB range’ (close quarter battle) without loosing a life! Head bands with 360 degree receivers will be attached to each recruit and by using lazer technology fired form their sub machine guns they must eliminate any enemy on route. Scores will be awarded for the amount of kills occurred, watch out though as you will run out of ammo if you are too trigger happy!
