How does the murder mystery event work?

Each plot is unique but the same successful pattern is used to dish them up!

During pre-dinner drinks, the actors will arrive in character and begin interacting with the guests. On the tables there is a quiz to encourage the participants to join in. There will also be a printed brief introduction to the plot in the form of a small notebook, whereby the guests can jot down their ideas.

As the guests are seated for dinner, the Inspector arrives and announces the murder of an ‘off-scene’ body. The characters sit amongst the guests to discuss the murder, their own involvement and that of the other characters involved. Guests are encouraged to question the suspects at length!

Evidence is posted on the notice boards throughout the evening, the characters hidden agendas are made public with short scenarios enacted between them.

There will be another ‘real life’ murder right in front of the guests to add to the intrigue, this is now a double-murder investigation!

Towards the end of the evening the Inspector invites the guests to help solve the murder and the solution cards are handed in.

The Inspector will then begin the denouement reading his report to those assembled. The murderer is exposed and arrested!

Prizes and Certificates are awarded to the Super Sleuths of the evening.
