This simple but effective Treasure Hunt will keep your team engaged and working together for either a half or full day scenario. The scene is set by your event manager who will brief the teams on their initial mission which can be bespoke to your venue or location. All the teams will receive a silver flight case which will contain all the information and equipment they will require to complete the task of the ‘Treasure Hunt’. A map of the area local to your chosen venue will be in the team case, with this map will be a series of clues which leads them on a treasure hunt around the local area on foot. The teams will have to solve the clues to locate the checkpoints where they will have to answer a question and take a photograph with digital cameras to prove they have found the location. As well as the check points each team works to a timetable to locate and tackle the ‘team challenges’ which have to be accomplished within a time constraint. When all the teams return to the final check point at the end of the event, they will be awarded additional points according to their overall performance. Teams must find all the checkpoints in their mission brief in order to open their Cryptex security box which once opened will inform them of their final task, if they can't open their Cryptex then they will lose out on valuable points! Teams who work quickly and effectively and gain as much information as possible will be victorious. Ok - So why are our treasure hunts different? MP4 players - Included with your teams equipment will be a Sony MP4 player that will not only include a selection of music tracks that you must listen to and complete questions on but also some interesting video clips. These short video clips will provide your team with extra clues as to where certain checkpoints and locations are within the treasure hunt! Mobile phones - Not to be used to phone your relatives in Australia! Teams will receive a mobile phone in order for HQ to communicate with them and set extra tasks throughout the day. These tasks are usually scavenger hunts and teams will be notified by a number of text messages. Digital Cameras - Polaroid cameras are great but digital ones are even better as the pictures you take on the event day can be stored on a cd and past around the office when you return! The Cryptex - This little puzzle box is what the whole treasure hunt is about. Inside the Cryptex security box is your teams final task but before you can complete this you must answer 6 correct questions from your event manual. If you answer these correctly and in order the Cryptex will open and your final task will be revealed!
